Challenge
There are hundreds of animals that currently in local shelters and fosters homes awaiting adoption. Users have to go through local county animal shelter website in order to find animals. Poor navigation and little background information provided prevents adopters from finding the right animal.
Solution
Design an experience that will help connect people to the right companion for them. This app will help adopters find pets that match their lifestyle, based on factors such as breed, gender, age, temperaments, and health issues.
Takeaways
While immersed in this project, I've brainstormed key enhancements for the app. Strengthening security through verification, adding optional swiping for improved accessibility, and introducing an animal support feature for donations, volunteering, and fostering are among the standout ideas.
